Another gorgeous stay in Malta

We love this hotel, the staff are superb, always friendly and helpful. The decor is modern and it is spotlessly clean throughout. The breakfast is well stocked and there’s so much to choose from.

We didn’t get to use the rooftop pool, it was fully booked for the majority of our stay. On the day we did have a booking it was closed due to the weather.

Very Good

The location is nice, very close to the ferries which can take you to Valletta and Gozo. The breakfast had a good variety and the staff was very friendly. Excellent restaurant on the rooftop if you are interested in a Michelin experience for a good price. A nice bonus is a heated swimming pool on the roof.

It would have been nice if we were informed about the construction next to our windows for the duration of our stay. Construction workers were working all the days and weekends and public holidays from 7.30, which made it impossible to open the windows and sleep long.

What was the highlight of 1926 Le Soleil Hotel & Spa

An excellent hotel in a quiter area, but with very good access to local restaurants and transport.

The rooms were well furnished and clean and we had great views of the city and the sea to the side. Staff were very welcoming and responsive to our small needs, the app they provide for room access works well and the Wi-Fi was speedy for the things we needed it for. The beach club is a great facility that does exactly what you need in terms of food and drink shade and sun and a great place to chill out. The roof terrace and pool are also good, but we preferred the beach club which had more space. Breakfast was very good with hot and cold options as you might expect in any hotel of this class. Finally, the GV restaurant was very good and we enjoyed our final evening in sumptuous décor with excellent food and wine.

The hotel leans on the "Spa" element of its name harder than it should. While it was pleasant, some parts did not work. The pool was cold the first time we visited and only a couple of the jets were working, on our second visit the steam room was out of action. The Sauna is good but only accommodates 4, so you have to wait your turn. They do limit numbers in the SPA and it was a pleasant addition to our stay, but it you are expecting a "SPA" in german style then you will be disappointed.

Exceptional

Hotel,Staff and facilities were excellent.

Just across from our room there was apartments been built, the noise of drills started at 7.30 am until 6pm and we couldn't open our balcony door as the noise was worse. It was no reflection on our hotel but it did take from the experience.

Great hotel staff, clean and well equipped rooms. Bar and reception staff were exceptional and would go out of their way

Clean with friendly hotel staff. The only downside was the breakfast.most items were cold and the host was not very friendly. Pushing to pay €15 for the buffet when items such as omelette/pancakes can be ordered fresh. Also the followed me Around my first morning to check that I paid. Apart from that all of the bar and hotel staff were exceptional and very helpful

Wonderful

Staff was great and couldn't do enough for you. The spa was also fabulous

The main picture appears that the hotel has a pool, especially as the photo is the main picture but it doesn't. The pool is at a beach club down the road and was closed when we attended due to it being out of season.

Great hotel with a good location

The location of the hotel was in a quiet street and from there you can reach both coasts within 2,3 minutes. The staff was amazing and ever so helpful. Great experience. I would definitely come again to this hotel

Exceptional hotel with great prices in a nice location and great staff.

The dinning area and possibilites for breakfast lunch and dinner. Staff was really nice and provided us with an extra hour for late check-out. Room was clean and the Do Not Disturb and Make Up Room buttons are a great addition! Spa, sauna and steam rooms were great.

Cleanliness of La Plage water (wasn't crystal clear but seemed more blurry) and water temperature of La Plage pool, it was freezing and some days wasn't even fully filled.

Loved Malta but would not stay in Sliema again but handy for the short ferry journey into Valletta.

The hotel is in a good location, near to beach, shops, ferry and plenty of restaurants. The breakfast is excellent and so is good at night and the staff are fabulous, couldn’t be more helpful.

Our first room had a pokey little bathroom but we were moved to a much better room. There is a lot of building work going on around the building with cranes everywhere so can be noisy.
